We're here!

We made it. K did great on the plane flights although she was up for the first 90 minutes of the first flight which means she got to bed at almost 1am. She took a nap before we left home and on the way to the airport, but she lost a number of hours of sleep. She has done great regardless and is in great spirits (although she is now fighting a very very runny nose). She was sooo fascinated by the airplane and kept staring at them and enjoying all the activity of the airport.

Yesterday we went to Teaisms (very cute!!!) spent some time in Georgetown had an amazing coffee at Leopld's Kafe and walked along the water. It was beautiful!!! The weather has even cooperated.

Today we went to Alexandria and had a wonderful time walking around, enjoying a yummy lemonade and pumkin tart from Bittersweet and a really nice lunch by the harbor. K had a great time walking back to the train enjoying the piggyback ride and pretending to be a neigh neigh. Yesterday when we were by the river we saw a boat being pulled by two donkeys. K loved it and when she saw the water today asked for donkeys... We also went to the mall and saw some of the monuments which was really nice.

It has been so nice to see Pmogi. We have never been apart for this long and it has been nice to catch up, enjoy the weather and explore DC with a great tour guide and DC expert... It will be nicer when she is in the Bay Area so we can enjoy the cafes there.

More details to come as we have had a busy but fun last couple of days!
