We celebrated our seven year wedding anniversary this weekend by going to the park, meeting friends for dinner, having friends over and spending time as a family enjoying some quiet and getting things done around the house. I am leaving for Croatia, France and England later in the week... It is very exciting to have a quality trip with pmogi and check out her Cambridge digs and new hang out spots. I will really miss T and K as we have been having so much fun together. I am guessing they will be eating a lot of pizza and if K has her way going to see lots of horses and spending time at the swings.

EEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard back from SCU... I start b-school this fall!
I had to go down to a conference at Spanish Bay on Monday and Tuesday, which went well. The Monday night event was held at someone's private residence on 17 mile drive. It was the most beautiful home I have ever been in... The home had a wrapping room for presents, beautiful bathrooms, beautiful doors that were made to look like floor to ceiling art pieces, exotic woods and incredible bedrooms with wonderful views of the ocean... The woman took me on a tour and showed me her closet, which had an incredible purse organizer filled with one of a kind valentinos etc... I would be very content with the purse organizer... Yesterday T picked up K from school and so after the conference I snuck in a workout overlooking the ocean and a fantastic massage at the Monterey Plaza, which was a neat experience as I have never been there. One ofmy favorite spas is at Pebble Beach and so I never try the other spas in the area.

We had a great time last night when I got home as we got to hang out as a family... Gma S brought over dinner so K spent most of the time passing out stuffed animals for each of us to hold. Mon night Daddy took K for a pizza at FJL, which for some reason is one of her favorite things to eat.

LA fun...

I went down to see my highschool girlfriend A in LA a couple of days ago... We had a great great time... hitting up trendy bars (such as The Standard, The Edison and one I don't know the name as it was under a cool art gallery) and enjoying appletinis, pomtinis and cosmos. We also talked and shopped and shopped and shopped. I had to turn in one more thing for a b-school app so we spent hours analyzing and rewriting... just like in highschool... I think we slept for about six hours... way less time then we shopped!

It was so great to see her and see how similar we still are ... she carries a tide pen and antibacterial pen in her purse, reminded me the definition of a mall is one with a Nordstrom and we even ordered the same thing at most meals out... It was great, but what was truly awesome was just catching up and chatting!

The real reason for my trip was a wedding in Santa Monica which was a lot fun - great dancing, food etc. T was in the wedding party and so we got to go to the rehearsal dinner, the wedding last night and a nice brunch this morning. All of T's close frat friends attended the wedding so we stayed up late chatting and catching up on Fri and Sat night. It was the first trip we had done without kids as normally we meet in Hawaii.

After T flew down to meet me I continuted to shop and so we had an incredible time shopping on 3rd street promenade, montana street, rodeo drive and at the grove. T is the best sport about my shopping! I saw some really cool shops, but liked the Prada shop on Rodeo most of all... even scored a cool wallet. It is definitely the coolest Prada shop I have ever been in. I am returning with double the stuff, but some great stuff for K!

Not to worry we did more then just shop... we went for awesome long walks on the beach every morning, we had lunch at Casa Del Mar with a stunning view of the ocean and I even read a book. It was one of the most relaxing holidays I can remember. We also went to one of the best coffee shops I have been too with organic coffee. Now, as is my way we are delayed back into SJC. My third delay on Delta in the past month. Argh!

K stayed home with both of her grandma's and Aunt J... She got to take the train in to town for an ice cream cone yesterday and the farmers market this morning... She loves loves her Aunt J, Grandma S and Grandma C so didn't miss us while we were gone.

Funny moments

Yesterday morning we got to host swim class.... K loved jumping in the pool and had a great time hosting her friends even though we only got to play for a little bit due to work.

Last night we took K to the LA farmers market after school and she bought corn on the cob after seeing a few 6 year old girls eating them. After she got hers she took my hand so we could show the big girls... we too had corn on the cob.

And after getting home from the market she went over to the remote and said Daddy... I want to watch golf! Every time the players didn't get a hole in one... so frequently ... she would tell them their ball was way too far away.

Today on the way to drop her to school we were quietly driving along when she said "Mommy, I am so happy" ... talk about making my day. Ready for another a fun weekend!

On Saturday we had D, M, A & T over. It was so funny when the two girls got together as they spent the first five minutes shrieking and running around the house as they were both so excited. They enjoyed the pool, pizza party, popcorn and the cookies. K even had a record sleep in day for her own bed (and made it all the way until 7 on Sunday).

Friday we went to S’s house which is always a lot of fun as she has so many incredible toys K stares in awe running from one thing to the next. You can guess what we need to do today after we get home from work. T and I also went to Straits in Santana Row for a friend's going away get together.... I had a lycheetini that rivaled the Hudson bar one that I had in 06 at the Hudson Bar in NYC... yummy. We had a great time at the party.

Sunday we took the train to CafĂ© Borrone and Keplers. We met J & K and stayed for storytime and sheep making and bought a Lilly book set!!! K loved loved the train and so we are going to try and go once a month. When I asked her what her favorite part of yesterday was though she mentioned it was going to Grandma S’s for dinner… K loves loves her grandmas!

4th of July fun

K had a great time in the 4th of July neighborhood parade and looked awesome (pictures to follow) in her sunglasses while she carried her horse umbrella (thank you pmogi and gma s) and little horse.

We had a great bbq with friends where she learned how to throw rocks with Daddy, spotted lizards and fell in love with shrimp... As we were leaving we got to say good night to about a dozen horses who were relaxing in a field and even saw a few cows at the top of the dish. It was an awesome family day.

Yesterday K had school and so T and I snuck in a yummy lunch at Tamarine, tried to hike the dish which is still closed so instead went for a walk at Stanford. We finished our day with a yummy dinner as a family at Gmas where K got to jump on the trampoline and pick more apricots from the tree.
