Home again

Home again... OMG traveling with two... wow... a lot of stuff and oh my gosh a lot of schlepping, but all in all amazing... awesome and wonderful.

C fell in love with K this week... madly in love. K was able to put her to sleep by singing to her in the backseat at least 8 times. Her sister is her hero and whatever K does causes C to laugh a lot. It is beyond cute. C glows whenever K comes around.

K cried getting out of the rental car because she didn't want to leave Hawaii. She loved it... loved it and got comfy in the ocean... for the first time ever she even played in the waves by herself. She has informed us that all future travel must result in trips to Hawaii.

Both girls did amazing on the red eye. They were flexible the entire trip and continue to prove you can travel with kids... it is harder, but clearly possible... now must pick our next adventure.

We saw some great sites, revisited too many favorites and loved being a family all day everyday for 10+ days... Now the prep for xmas has begun! We are one lucky family... Gma C joined us and so T and I had an occasional date and K was thrilled to have her along... Have I mentioned we are lucky.

C looks like she wants to crawl. Her little body is moving she just needs to figure out to lift her tummy and she will be off. OMG!

Now we are back to cashmere and boots... BRR!

I have the best family in the world...

I have to admit that I have the most perfect little girls in the world. And the best partner and friend in the entire universe. We are all so lucky. Happy holidays all!!!

Her first loose tooth

K has her first loose tooth. I can't believe it... I actually really had to feel in there because there was no way my LITTLE girl could be losing her first tooth. One more sign she is even bigger than before. She is thrilled and can't wait for it to come out....

K is excited for beach time, family time and airplanes... We are all equally excited... less so about the transit part that is one of K's favorite parts!

C is having her first tooth cut through... we think. Can't get in there long enough to look... Too busy anytime something goes near her mouth that it is umm... food! She is a good eater...

And now we are free. I am off school for a month... the plans, organizing, cleaning, gym time and most of all family time and enjoying the holidays... Making great progress on my shopping... very excited although will have a lot to do when we come back.

More family love!

HAWAII

Hurrah... finally we have booked a holiday... It may be our longest hiatus from travel as a family yet, but C, school, work and took us down this year... but we just booked 11 days of glorious sunshine, family moments and warm relaxing resort luxury... CAN NOT WAIT! Hawaii here we come... Not very exciting, but exciting didn't make the list this year... Next year exciting will definitely be there...

C has learned to play peek a boo. OMG incredible to see ... she is a doll! We are in love still... madly madly in love. Her 6 month appt went well. Don't think the height measurement was right as she only grew 1/2 an inch... However she gained another 2 pounts and is now up to 17 pounds 5 ounces... She continues to love food... Bananas are her current favorite... and of course rice cereal.

K is entering the princess love stage.. a little late to the game, but she is there... and she is gearing up her list for Santa! Can't wait to get her ready for xmas this year.... SO ready to celebrate the season with her...

And what is even better Thanksgiving is coming! Which means our holiday pics this weekend... AS FOUR... eek!

Chugging along...

C continues to tick off big victories with every passing day... helping us get her dressed by pushing arms through etc, trying to learn that night time is just not the time for nursing... (this is being done with two parents sleeping in the living room since C is still in our room) and rolling... The sitting is getting better and she is still very smiley and laughy.. Bedtimes have been moved back for her and now she is going to bed between 7- 7:30 every night... The early bedtime is giving us more time for K... Last night we played Animal Bingo and Legos... She went to bed happy!

K is ready to give up her naps so we are trying to help her with the transition... In a way exciting and in a way sad... she continues to grow bigger... Four is an age with a lot of emotions... Tears are coming easier... not sure if that is from having to share parents or just being four years old. Trying to find more time to cuddle, be together and give her some 1:1 attention. On Sat we did a mommy and girlie adventure which was nice. Just need more time for these moments... Of course still dreaming of more sleep... but soon! The holidays will be nice as we will have lots of time together with no work or school getting in the way... Family bonding time here we come! Now need to survive the month leading up to that...

Sunday walk into town and Sat pumpkin fun

Princesses, Pumpkins and Aurora!

K and I went to Disney on ice... The best part of the show for K was letting her pick out a Disney priced doll... She looked and looked and analyzed and analyzed what to buy... She bought Belle... and was completely sure of her choice... and when we got home we mentioned how Belle was such a careful choice etc.... until K looks at me and says well her name is Aurora. I really wanted Aurora but some other girl bought her so I picked Belle instead... So much for careful anaylsis... she thought there was only one of each doll and so now we are calling Belle Aurora Belle... The best part of the show for me.. having her sit on my lap for two hours.

We went to our friend's annnual pumpkin carving party... which was awesome as always... K ran around playing with another little girl screaming, laughing and shrieking... it was great... She also carved a pumpkin with many many faces... he is scaring everyone outside our front door.

And finally I tried to take K clothes shopping. She is so picky about what she wears that I decided to see if we could go together to get things that worked for her... totally not a hit... she picked out 20 shirts and was more focused on the pajamas, watches and accessories they sold... so I guess I am back to hoping I pick the right thing and it will get wear...

more pics

Another half

I ran my second half last weekend... I really enjoyed it... if only I had more time to train I think that I would have loved it. Regardless I did it and really enjoyed it and can't wait for more time to work out...

K is going through a tough sleep period and as a result is a bit grumpy... not sure what to do to break out of it, but just keep trying to get her to sleep so she will agree to eat and be up for being more of a helper. Maybe being a big sis is finally getting tiring...

C is eating and eating and eating. Someone at wf asked me what I was feeding her and if it was just home food because she is so large... She is almost 6 months... Hurrah for almost being halfway done with nursing... she is doing great!!!

Last night we had an awesome few minutes with K watching music videos on YouTube... She was really enjoying the music and we all really enjoyed a quiet family moment.

K made it

She did what she needed to and made it to mini stars 2... we are on the wait list for our favorite teacher and we are celebrating tomorrow night with a Mommy manicure... gotta love that she request I paint her nails with three different bottles of sparkly polish.... Other celebration finding a new leotard since her current one is getting too small... all suggestions of where to look would be awesome!

Who has time to eat

C has found that nursing really is tough to do when you are trying to watch the world... and you wouldn't believe all the things there are to watch in the world... lights, big sisters and well everything... This is a first for us as K was already on the bottle at this point as she thought nursing was overrated by three months and so my pump became my best friend. Now we have to figure out how to feed C when there are no distractions. Impossible when everything is distracting.

Today K's best friend S started at her school. Not only did they get to drive together they got to spend the day together. Both girls were soo excited. K was really worried that somehow she would be forgotten and finished breakfast in record time.

Last night she joined T at a Sharks game... this time she decided the game was just boring without the flying shark, mascot etc. but she did love staying up late...
