Phew!

So K's Sunday cold took a turn for the worse and she was up all night Sunday. I took her to school on Monday only to get a call while in a meeting to pick her up. She came home and within an hour had a fever and was not our little girl. We had a really really hard 24 hours and it was a bummer to not have T home to share the care, but we made it. K slept 11 hours last night and went to school with a big smile on her face (minus the drop off, of course). She did get to watch her first video with me while we waited for the medicine to kick in. (Barney goes to the zoo - a huge favorite in her eyes).

She really misses T and keeps talking about him. When we were driving in the car I heard her say hold dada, love you dada. It was very cute! She thought he was still in bed when I went to get her this morning and ran into the room saying dada bed, but realized dada was still at work. She is now saving blue crayons for him. Normally we only get yellow and she was saving yellow crayons for him on Sunday, but clearly things have changed. It is interesting to do this by myself even though my mom has offered to help and came over last night when K was in bed so I could run errands.

She still loves to brush and so when I gave her the toothbrush with toothpaste and told her to go back and forth she stuck the brush in her mouth and started to move backwards and forwards. I guess you have to be careful what you say.

She is also getting more into Anna, her doll. She looked at Anna and exclaimed "oh no poo poo" and quickly tried to get her underwear off. When she took a peek she decided there was no poo poo and so she told Anna and quickly got her dressed. Anna did everything yesterday including pet moca.

We have also gotten an attachment to this blanket we got as a shower present from SR. She keeps taking it around the house and saying stretch out before laying it out and plopping down. She had to take it in the car today to school. Luckily we got to leave it in the car.

Wish me luck - we are flying to England tomorrow.
