LA fun...

I went down to see my highschool girlfriend A in LA a couple of days ago... We had a great great time... hitting up trendy bars (such as The Standard, The Edison and one I don't know the name as it was under a cool art gallery) and enjoying appletinis, pomtinis and cosmos. We also talked and shopped and shopped and shopped. I had to turn in one more thing for a b-school app so we spent hours analyzing and rewriting... just like in highschool... I think we slept for about six hours... way less time then we shopped!

It was so great to see her and see how similar we still are ... she carries a tide pen and antibacterial pen in her purse, reminded me the definition of a mall is one with a Nordstrom and we even ordered the same thing at most meals out... It was great, but what was truly awesome was just catching up and chatting!

The real reason for my trip was a wedding in Santa Monica which was a lot fun - great dancing, food etc. T was in the wedding party and so we got to go to the rehearsal dinner, the wedding last night and a nice brunch this morning. All of T's close frat friends attended the wedding so we stayed up late chatting and catching up on Fri and Sat night. It was the first trip we had done without kids as normally we meet in Hawaii.

After T flew down to meet me I continuted to shop and so we had an incredible time shopping on 3rd street promenade, montana street, rodeo drive and at the grove. T is the best sport about my shopping! I saw some really cool shops, but liked the Prada shop on Rodeo most of all... even scored a cool wallet. It is definitely the coolest Prada shop I have ever been in. I am returning with double the stuff, but some great stuff for K!

Not to worry we did more then just shop... we went for awesome long walks on the beach every morning, we had lunch at Casa Del Mar with a stunning view of the ocean and I even read a book. It was one of the most relaxing holidays I can remember. We also went to one of the best coffee shops I have been too with organic coffee. Now, as is my way we are delayed back into SJC. My third delay on Delta in the past month. Argh!

K stayed home with both of her grandma's and Aunt J... She got to take the train in to town for an ice cream cone yesterday and the farmers market this morning... She loves loves her Aunt J, Grandma S and Grandma C so didn't miss us while we were gone.

What a great trip!

I love the picture of K wearing a towel in her hair.

Sounds like so much fun! Reminds me of my more carefree days living in Pasadena. We ran into K and grandma at the farmers market while you were gone. She was telling me about her baby who she had forgotten at home. :)
