It looks like we are in a new stage… We have gone from caregivers to parents. We have to set more rules, boundaries etc. However now that we are aware of this we are able to deal with outbursts a bit better. We are also able to understand that it is all about K becoming a young woman as tweet wee are favorite clown would say! Not that we like having to set boundaries, but K is all about testing… If anyone has any books about this new age – we are getting ready to do our research.
K played her first game of hide and seek with some kids in our neighborhood this weekend. I went to SF to shop with a friend (had a great time shopping and shopping and shopping) while T stayed to play with K. When I came home she was so happy she sat on my lap and gave me kisses and hugs still far and few between.
Highlights of her weekend:
- Whipped cream at the coffee shop – total bliss.
- Spending time with Grandma (yesterday she missed Grandma so on the way to school she asked if she could call her and if she could come over. Grandma will be over tonight.)
- Trying and loving her first persimmon. I think she has had 5 since her first taste.
- Petting MoCa
- Showing giraffe the fog outside.
- Going to the library and playing with the beads
- Sticking her hand in the water fountain like the big kids
- Drawing and playing with play doh
- Visiting twee twee, eating grapes at the farmers market while dancing like a ballerina, choo choo spotting at the market
